Written articles

Articles will be accepted in the following categories; news, HS gaming, reviews (expansions, maps and scenarios), battle reports, fan fiction and humour or anything that falls within the realms of Heroscape. The Realm of Heroscape means it makes use of Heroscape game pieces (terrain, figures glyphs, etc), is used in Heroscape games (additional terrain pieces, figures, etc), or enhances Heroscape (programs, utilities, etc).

Game Articles:
Game analysis, tips, tricks, customizing, campaigns and house rules are always welcome. Customs and House rules, optional rules or rules additions (and scenarios as well) should all be thoroughly play tested before submitting them to us. We are also very interested to see 'How to' articles about Heroscape.

Reviews and Battle Reports:
Reviews and reports should be no more than 1000 words and should include pictures or Landscape PDF if a map is being used.

Fan Fiction:
We strongly prefer stories under 5000 words long. We will consider stories up to 9,000 words, but the longer the story, the less likely we are to be interested. We can't consider stories significantly over our word-count limit as space is limited.We also can't consider partial or incomplete stories. Please don't send us part of a story and ask us to request the rest of it if we're interested.

News Releases:
We welcome events listings, news releases, ongoing organizing, contests, for the News section of the magazine. News should be short, one or two paragraphs, with contact information at the end. We sometimes run graphics with the News, so these may be included as well. Indicate with the submission that it is to be considered for inclusion as a News Release. Check the publication schedule for inclusion deadlines. Email to (submissions@hscodex.com).

Letters:
We occasionally run letters to the editor. These should be concise and may be edited for length. Letters or general comments and suggestions can be sent via email (info@hscodex.com)
